Due to COVID-19 and the unknown timeline and operating restrictions that have accompanied it, we have made the very difficult decision to not open Wild Waves Theme & Water Park for the 2020 season. In addition to the many friends and families that will not be able to visit our park this season, we also regret not being able to hire the 600+ people we normally employ each summer.
Even though many theme and water parks are open and operating safely around the U.S., the challenges lie with our current county health metrics and the phases in Washington state. We have spent months consulting with industry and medical experts and put together a detailed plan that would allow us to safely open. In addition, we had invested hundreds of thousands of dollars on training, ride inspections, supplies, maintenance, signage and more preparing for opening day at Wild Waves. However, it is now almost September, and with King County still only in Phase 2 and no projected opening date in sight, we don’t see any other feasible alternative than to remain closed for the 2020 season.
We would like to thank all those that have been supportive and have uplifted our spirits through this challenging time. There were many updates to our operating calendar as we tried to follow guidance and project opening dates. Your patience and understanding throughout this process has been greatly appreciated. We know that everyone has felt the frustration and impacts of this pandemic, but the health and safety of our guests and our team is always our top priority. We all look forward to better times and we will be ready to welcome you back in 2021.
For those that have already purchased a 2020 Season Pass, we will automatically transfer it to a 2021 Premium Season Pass. To reward our Pass Holders for their understanding and loyalty, we are automatically upgrading all Season Passes to the 2021 Premium Pass that will provide you the most benefits and perks for the 2021 season. These benefits include FREE Parking, FREE Souvenir Bottle, 4 Bring a Friend FREE tickets (some restrictions apply), 50% off Cabana Rentals, plus other perks throughout the season. Please see our website for further details. If you purchased a 2020 single day admission ticket, it will be good through the entire 2021 season. Season Pass Meal Plans will rollover and be good through the 2021 season. If you purchased a 2020 Season Parking Pass you will also receive a $50 credit on your EZ-Band for each Season Parking Pass purchased. The $50 credit will be applied to your EZ-Band on your first visit to the park during the 2021 season.
You do not need to do anything to receive your 2021 Premium Season Pass; a confirmation will be emailed to you over the next few months. If you have questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and reference your name and confirmation numbers. Please be understanding as the team works diligently through this process to communicate to everyone that has purchased a Season Pass.
We are saddened that we will not be able to entertain you and your friends and family this season but look forward to helping you create many fond memories at Wild Waves in 2021. Most importantly, stay safe and healthy.

Dear Wild Waves Season Pass Members and Loyal Fans,
We know you've had many questions regarding your Season Pass and opening day and we have been trying to speak personally with each of you that has reached out to us. Our staff has been working remotely due to the Stay at Home Order and we have not been able to reach everyone to date, but we wanted to let you know that we will be able to extend your 2020 Season Pass into the 2021 season. For each operating day that the park is closed during the 2020 season, we will give you one additional operating day during the 2021 season. We will also be providing you with $10 cash to be added on to your EZ-Band, plus Free Drink Fridays, Dollar Hot Dog Days, and more! It's important to us that we provide you with all of the value you paid for.

Dear Wild Waves Season Pass Members and Loyal Fans,
I hope that you, your family, and your friends are healthy and staying safe during these challenging times. This truly is an unprecedented time for all of us and I would like to thank you for your patience as we work through the many new challenges this pandemic has presented to us all. I also wanted to take a moment and update you on the status of our opening and plans for the upcoming 2020 season.
As you know, the Governor recently extended the Stay at Home order to May 31st and put forth his Safe Start Plan for business reopening. While deadlines and recommendations are fluid and seem to be changing daily, our revised plan to open on May 23rd has now been pushed to end of June or as soon as possible thereafter. As we work through the many new challenges, we will be following the guidance from our state agencies to ensure that we are doing everything we can to protect our guests and staff upon our opening.
We look forward to providing you an opportunity where everyone can get out and begin to enjoy the outdoor fun that our theme and water park provides each season. Our goal is to provide a fun, safe, and close to home getaway.
Our entire team is working hard to welcome you back to the park. The COVID-19 crisis has required us to raise our cleaning and sanitizing standards to an even higher level with new protocols. Wild Waves Theme & Water Park
For the safety of all our guest and team members, we have increased all health and safety measures at Wild Waves Theme and Water Park. You must follow all posted instructions and instructions given by our team members while visiting.
The CDC and local health departments advise that older adults and people of any age who have serious underlying medical conditions might be at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19. There is an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 while in any public place where people are present. By visiting Wild Waves Theme and Water Park, you are voluntarily assuming all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
We will only open our park when it is safe to do so. We are working on creative ways to complete our employee training online and keep the groups small as recommended by the CDC. We’re going to do our best to work here safely to prepare for opening, and we’ll also follow all recommendations from the CDC and from the state of Washington. May I get a refund for my 2020 Season Pass(es) or single day ticket(s)?
While these times are uncertain, we know that creating fond memories with your family will always be important and our team looks forward to welcoming you to the park this summer. Season Passes and tickets are non-refundable as stated at purchase, and are valid to use any regular operating day through November 1, 2020. We remain thankful for your support and patronage, now more than ever. What are your cleanliness and sanitation standards and procedures?
Here at Wild Waves Theme & Water Park, the safety and well-being of our guests and team members has always been our top priority. We have specific, stringent sanitation protocols in place for every operating department. We have put in place plans to exponentially increase our sanitizing protocol and will continue to follow the guidance of state and local health agencies. All guest and team member high-touch points including surfaces, railings, handles, gates, etc. will be sanitized throughout the day as per regular policy. We are also adding additional hand sanitizer stations throughout the park. Anti-bacterial soap will continue to be available throughout the park and signs will be installed to remind team members and guests of health and hygiene best practices. In addition to the steps outlined above, we will ask team members who are exhibiting cold or flu-like symptoms to stay home and contact their healthcare provider. The park will follow guidance from local and state officials, as well as the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO).
